What’s the problem?
Inequality – in wealth, income or access to basic services – is harmful. The quality of our lives – from life expectancy to mental illness, from violence to illiteracy – is affected not only by how wealthy a society is but also by how equal it is.
Societies with a big gap between rich and poor are bad for everyone, including the well-off.
It doesn’t have to be like this.
Who are we?
We are a group of Dorset-based people who work to raise awareness of inequality, to promote social justice, and to campaign for greater equality. We are politically non-aligned.
What do we do?
We campaign, especially by engaging policy-makers.
We publicise the inequalities around us and the damage they cause.
We make presentations, drawing on local case studies.

Welcome friend.
The group holds business/planning meetings every few weeks, open to anyone interested. Currently these meetings are held in Poole. We would welcome offers of venues across the county. Please email dorsetequalitygroup@gmail.com for details of next meeting.
